Learning to market on the Internet is not the cinch that many glib people make it out to be.  If you were to believe the vast majority of the "Get Rich Quick" pundits out there you would think it is just a matter of joining a recognized affiliate marketing company and then simply submitting your URL (website address) to one of the "You Beaut" auto submission services....people will come flocking to your site.... like what they see... and sign up in your business.

Let me tell you now.  This will not happen!

Marketing on the Internet is fraught with difficulties and the purpose of this Fast Track PRO report is to take many of those difficulties out of your Internet Marketing experience and make it a pleasant and rewarding journey.

A journey requiring as little time as possible as you learn and build a solid foundation below you.  If you enjoy helping and teaching the people you introduce to your business then you are assured of success in this new network marketing paradigm "Internet Marketing".  By helping people to become successful in their own right you will achieve great personal satisfaction and rewards.

However, be prepared to spend 2 to 5 years developing your home business.  Some of you will do it much quicker many will not.

Let's not forget a very important point here.  Many people see Internet Marketing as a way to get rich.  Well yes of course you can get rich!  But it does require work and persistence.  

If you aren't prepared to work and persist... then to put it simply, you will fail.

The people who are becoming financially independent by using Internet Marketing techniques are mostly the genuine people who are prepared to help and train their downlines to learn the best ways of introducing new people to the opportunity.  I see decent honest people who have made the transition from the old networking paradigm into Internet Marketing becoming extremely successful.  Networkers who have brought the good qualities of networking into Internet Marketing are succeeding brilliantly, while others less experienced and acting on purely selfish motives, are failing miserably.

Networking whether on the Internet or by word of mouth is still basically the same.  The only difference is, the world is now available to us through the Internet, instead of networking just in your own country. But never ever forget, it is still a relationship based business.  This means building rapport and helping people as they learn to build their own home business.  By all means contact people by email but get on the phone and make yourself known.  It is always beneficial to any business relationship to talk on the phone.  At least your lead or affiliate will know you are a real person.

The drop out rates for the new Internet Marketers are far higher than anything experienced in traditional networking.  Through training reports I hope to reverse that trend.  They are written from my personal experience and will take most of the heartache out of it for you.  It is the culmination of many thousands of hours of study and learning how to do it right.  By implementing strategies outlined in my PRO reports you will have a decided advantage.  

It is entirely up to you what you do from this point on!

 

• So Here We Go.

First and foremost it is essential to establish your own domain name and website.

Whoa back!  I hear you say.  I already have this marvelous website supplied by my affiliate program so why should I need to pay to set up my own site.

Okay.  Lets have a closer look at this.  Most of it has already been covered in the introduction so just to jog your memory here are the important points again.

• You will be one of millions of affiliates trying to promote a similar site.

• Your site will not be uniquely yours.

• You may have a spam complaint lodged and you could lose your business.

• You will never get an affiliate website listed on a search engine

• You can't personalize your affiliate site like you can your own.

• You can't build mirror gateway pages on your affiliate site for search engines to find.

• The URL (address) is far too long.

• It looks amateurish not to have your own URL.

• Long affiliate URLs simply don't fit easily onto business cards.

• It is hard to remember a long URL with numbers and letters.

I am sure you would agree serious business builders must have their own domain.  You are serious about building your business aren't you?

This report is designed for those who wish to get their domain name and website set up without delay.  I am not trying to convince you!  I hope you are serious about developing your Internet business otherwise you would not be reading this report and wasting your time.  

So this is what you must do first.  

Print this report out and keep it beside you so you can refer to it as you go through the setting up procedures.

Your Own Domain

• Register your domain name.  

I have found the best place to register your domain name is with Ten Dollar Domains.  As the name suggests it will cost you just ten dollars to register your name ending in .com .net or .org for twelve months.

1. Simply click on this URL http://www.10-Domains.com and follow the instructions to register your name.  Remember to keep it simple and try to find a name that perhaps reflects your own name.  You may even be able to register your own name like www.JamesBrown.com  or something like my domain name which is a combination of my partner Cazz's last name Hall and my own name Goldie www.hallgold.com

2. Scroll down the home page to where the box is and enter your chosen name to see if you can register it.  Experiment with different combinations until you are happy then click Search

3. The next window that pops up will tell you if the name is available or not.  If not continue trying until you find a suitable name.

4. Once you are happy with your choice click Continue. In the next window click on Register

5. This will take you to the Registration Page.

6. Fill in a user name in the box. I suggest using your Domain Name as the user name and use a password you will not forget.  You wont need to visit this site very often and it can be annoying not remembering your password

7. The next page will ask you to select the period you want for the domain and the price.  It is a minimum of one year for $10.00 or up to 10 years for $100.  Make your choice and click continue.

8. The next page is where you fill out all your details.  Name address phone number etc. Click continue when done.

9. You will then be taken to a page where you can edit out mistakes.  If you are happy click continue.  

10. (Note! You will see a box saying name servers with  ns1.parava.net ns2.parava.net in it.  Leave this as is. I will explain how to alter the name servers when you are setting up your own website later.  For now you are just registering your domain name not setting up a website.

11. Now onto the final part.  You will need your credit card handy.  Simply fill in all the fields leaving none out.  Once you are sure everything is in order click Pay Now and wait for the order to be processed.  Don't get impatient and click again or your credit card will be charged twice if you do this.

12. Once the order is confirmed you will automatically receive an email from the company within minutes, with your user name and password and other pertinent information on it.  Print this email out and/or keep it filed in a safe place for future reference where you can find it easily.  Most important!

Congratulations!  You are now the proud owner of your very own .com .net or .org unique domain name.

 

Setting Up Your Own Website  

This is where it starts to get a little more complicated.  In fact most people never learn how to set up their own website with their own domain name.  They usually rely on some sub domain and go for the free options.  Well I am going to tell you again, FREE does not work.  You do not want a sub domain name for all the same reasons as outlined above.  So stop thinking FREE. After all you have just spent a minimum of $10 registering your domain name so you need to use it properly.  

I can show you how to get a free website and use your domain name.  Yes that is right a FREE website with your own unique address.  One draw back however.  It will have an ugly banner at the top advertising someone else's business.  But no sweat!  Just $10 per month will get rid of the banner and you have a 20 meg site with all sorts of goodies all set to go.  I will explain in a another report why it is vital to get the banner off the top of your site if you want to get it found.

Here is the procedure for setting up your site.  It is quite complicated for the uninitiated so you may need to refer back to these instructions as you go. Print them out now and keep them beside you as you follow through the various procedures.

1. First of all click on this URL or copy and paste into the browser.  Or simply type it in if you are reading a printout.  http://www.bizhosting.com 

2. This will take you to the BizHosting.com home page.  Look at the top right corner and you will see the Basic Free full featured business website package.  Click on the sign up button.

3. You will see three options. Option 1: Free Domain  Option 2: Register your own ".com"   Option 3: Transfer a domain .  Now you could opt for the free domain and have the long yourname.bizhosting.com URL but for all the previous reasons don't do this.  You could register your own domain name with bizhosting under Option 2 but you would be paying $35.  (this could save you a bit of hassle transferring the domain over and you may prefer this option)  If you already have registered your domain name with $10 domains then you need to type in your domain name you have already registered with .com or .net .org at the end.  Then click on the Transfer button under Option 3

4. You will then be given instructions on how to transfer your domain from $10 domains.com

5. If you find the information hard to follow from bizhosting then use the following procedure to transfer your domain name.

 

Transfer your domain from the $10 domains site to bizhosting.com

 

1. Click on or key in http://www.10-Domains.com

2. Click on My Account

3. Key in User Name and Password and Login

4. The next box will be the "Manage Your Account" box. Click on the button that reads Domains with "Manage your Domain Names" written next to it.

5. The next box will be all your personal information you registered when you applied for your domain. Scroll down and you will see "Please select Domain Name for editing" If you only registered one domain simple click on that.  Otherwise drop the box down and select the name you want to edit. Click the edit button.

6. Another box will appear.  Go to the bottom and click on the edit button where it reads "Name Servers."

7. The next box is where you carry out the transfer of your domain to the Bizhosting site. This is important!  Get it right the first time!  You will see a box with spaces for three name servers.  The name servers listed will be NS1.PARAVA.NET and NS2.PARAVA.NET

8. Replace the existing Parava.net name servers with NS3.FREESERVERS.COM and NS4.FREESERVERS.COM    Then click on confirm.

Congratulations!  You have just transferred your domain name to Bizhosting.com and your new domain will be available to you usually within 24 hours.  In the meantime you will be able to access the website builder on Bizhosting through a temporary access domain like this http://yourname.nstemp.com/cgi-bin/util/site_admin and build your site. After about seven days the temporary name will no longer be required and you will be able to log straight into your website to build it.

To Recap.... You now have your own Domain Name and you have your own website waiting to be built. Simple huh?  Well I am glad you think so!  Believe me it is not so easy to work this out if you aren't familiar with computers and the Internet.  But then what have you got upline for.  If in doubt contact your sponsor for help or email me.

Now just as you were getting your head around all the preceding information here is another essential to marketing on the Internet.

Hands up those of you who are using a web-based email address and service.  By web-based I mean a service provided by a company like Hotmail.com or Zwallet.com or The Mail.com or the big boy on the block Yahoo.com.   

If your email address ends in .com and you have to access your account online and write emails while online then you are using a web-based service.  These email services are great and have many features.  Not the least being you can access your emails from anywhere in the world and send email from any computer you have access to.

However they are not suitable for the serious Internet Marketer.  Quite simply they are too slow!  Although they do form an important part of your marketing tools.

 

Typical Scenario

Lets look at a typical scenario of what takes place when the unwary newcomer decides to start an Internet Marketing venture.  They think.  "Wow, all I have to do is submit my site through one of these fantastic auto submit services and I will have links placed on 28,967 other websites!".  Well yes that's great!   But be warned.  You will have anything up to 28,967 emails coming back at you (probably more) all of them saying how happy they are to receive your link but hey... "What do you think about this fantastic business I make five zillion per week in"  They usually finish with. "Just pop along to such and such get rich URL and you can make $3,000 in your first week"

 

What a Pain!

Boy oh boy!  If only life was so simple.  So you delete the first 10 emails that come in and wait for the page to load again.  Wow there is another 10 waiting to be read.  Then another 10.  You're not bothering to read them after 20 or 30.  Now you are just trying to get rid of them as fast as you can.  Still they keep coming!  Day after day hundreds of emails coming at you taking up hours of your time.

Hours or even days later after deleting thousands of emails you think. "What did I do wrong to deserve all this?"  I'll tell you now what you did wrong!  You failed to plan your approach to Internet Marketing.  Mistake number one!  You jumped in boots and all and found you couldn't swim against the current!  That's what you did wrong!

Well... you are not alone!  What most people do when this happens they give up the email account and start another.  However it would have been far easier and less traumatic to start the right way.

 

Bulk Email

To be effective at Internet marketing you need to handle bulk emails.  You don't do this solely through one email account.  I advise everyone to use Outlook Express preferably version 5 on your computer plus set up a web-based account with filters to handle the junk mail .  Outlook Express can be set it up to keep information in various folders and to receive mail direct into any folder you nominate.  

If you haven't got Outlook Express 5 download it for FREE from the Windows  site as part of the free Internet Explorer update.  http://www.microsoft.com/windows98/  Just visit this URL and it is all available to you absolutely free!

You can even send junk email direct to the Deleted Items so they don't clutter your Inbox.  I won't go into how to do this here.  It is something you should learn about your own computer program and become proficient at it.  Anything you are unsure of click on the word Help on the right at the very top of your screen.  Believe me when I say that help is always available.  Surprising how many people ignore that little word at the top of their screen.

 

So to recap.

• You need Outlook Express for your business

• Use a web-based email account with filters to reduce junk mail.

• Never use your web-based email when auto submitting unless you have the filters on.

• Be prepared to close an email account if overwhelmed.

• It pays to use more than one web based email address.

• Try to keep one web-based email account clear of junk emails.

So if you haven't got Outlook Express organised on your computer then do it now!  It is virtually impossible to handle an Internet Marketing operation unless you have your primary email account direct into your computer through an ISP (Internet Service Provider)

Also loads of other useful resources and tools there.  Many of them completely free!

 

Sending Bulk Emails

Once you become more familiar with emailing and marketing in general on the internet you will see the advantage of building an email list and sending bulk emails to them.  There is some very useful software around which will allow you to do this.  The one I use is Aureate Group Mail.  It is the free version and I find it does the job very well.  The emails are sent in batches of 25 then the program pauses and starts again.  This is to prevent the ISP picking up you are sending bulk emails.

Although not normally a problem for the numbers I would send it may be if you were to start sending 20,000 to 30,000 per day. I would upgrade to paid version with the extra capacity if I was to do this.  You can look at Aureate Group Mail here http://www.infacta.com/gm.html  and download the free version if you want.
