The Five Most Common Mistakes Ancillary Report #1 It's a real shame! Too many people start an MLM business with excitement, energy, and a gleam in their eye -- only to have the fire extinguished because they just can't seem to make any money. There are thousands of people, maybe even you, who right now are not as successful as you would like to be. If you learn the methods to doing this business correctly, you can make all the money you want. Let me tell you 5 of the top mistakes most people make that holds them back from achieving success in their Network Marketing business. I won't give any real details until later in this book. For now I just want to get you thinking about a few common problems that may be holding you back from success. All of these mistakes are avoidable. So listen up. AVOIDABLE MISTAKE #1: First let me explain to you what a cold-list is. It's a list of names that have shown absolutely, positively, no interest in your offer. They didn't request further information on your opportunity and really don't care how great your company is in the first place (despite how you feel!). Mailing your opportunity to a cold-list is the surest way to drain your bank account. These people will most likely bin your information without so much as a second glance. The way you avoid this mistake is to only mail to "warm leads." Warm leads are leads who, specifically ask for more information on your opportunity. The cold-list people can be treated quite differently. If these people have requested information about working from home or how to make money then the thing to do is to send them a teaser item that will provoke a response for more information – and they pay for any additional information they order. This way you can keep your cost low and if they respond they will send you money for the information you have. Never give money away. Everything you do must be geared to cover your costs at the very least. Otherwise how on earth can you teach a duplicative system to your down-line? So people who have expressed interest in a business opportunity ask them if they are prepared to pay a refundable deposit for your complete and professional Information Pack. If they are prepared to do this then they are genuine and understand that when they are in business, they will also be looking to cover there expenses if not make a little money as they go from the Marketing Materials. This approach is completely acceptable to the vast majority of business minded opportunity seekers. AVOIDABLE MISTAKE #2: You've made no attempt to build a trusting relationship with your new prospects. But yet you have the nerve to expect them to risk their hard-earned money with you as their sponsor. Sorry, but it doesn't work that way. Here's how you avoid this mistake. Ask your up-line for the series of follow-up letters they use to recruit people. Ask them for the phone script they've been using. You can now create yourself a good follow-up system that will get you a bunch of new down-line partners. Follow up is vital if you want to build a profitable Network Business. Once your prospect has received the information either call them on the phone, (preferred), write to them or email them with a suitably worded letter that your up-line uses. The whole idea is to build rapport and trust and let your prospect see you are serious about building your business and helping them establish theirs. Remember this is a duplicative system you are building and what you do your new team members will copy. AVOIDABLE MISTAKE #3: Many people in Network Marketing make so many mistakes it is un-believable. Possibly the biggest mistake of the lot is sending several MLM offers at once. Of course this simply doesn’t work. First off the average Net-worker can’t afford to give away comprehensive professional information which should include a company produced video, tapes, and glossy company generated literature as well as any other relevant information from the Support Network for free, about one opportunity let alone 3 or 4! So what do the amateurs do? They send a poorly photocopied single sheet or two about each “marvellous opportunity” they are promoting. You must be joking if you think you will get someone to read this type of trash! There's nothing worse than opening an envelope and finding 4 to 6 other “little offers” falling to the floor. How amateurish! This really annoys your prospect. Your mailing goes straight to the garbage. I know where you're getting this technique from! Someone in mail-order told you to stuff your envelopes with as many little offers as you can, to maximize the usage of your 27p stamp. Only put ONE offer in your mailings at anyone time if it is about Network Marketing! If you send your prospects several different “opportunities” then the whole lot will get binned. Sending several offers related to small mail-order items is fine if you are in mail-order. If you want to maximise the chances of your prospect responding then there is a well thought out system combining the best of mail-order methods with Network Marketing. Unless you are using the proven approach to do this, then you risk wasting a lot of time and money and becoming another Network Marketing Statistic! AVOIDABLE MISTAKE #4: Shame, shame on you! Network Marketing is a real business like any other legitimate business. And in all legitimate businesses I know of, you must learn how to work the business the right way. Otherwise, you can't expect to make any money. Without proper training you have no right expecting to make money. Always spend money on training material, books, courses, tapes, seminars etc. In fact training is what will make or break you in this business. Do it your way and go broke! Learn from the people who are making money and see if they have a duplicative method that you can put into place and make work, for yourself. Nine times out of ten, successful people in network marketing are using a duplicative system that most people can follow. The highly successful distributors usually take massive action in whatever they do and get massive results! Usually it revolves around training meetings and seminars where the new people are taught all the methods found to be effective by the successful members of the organisation. Listen to these people and learn from them. They have already made all the mistakes and found what works for them. Without training “you are dead in the water”. Now there is a very duplicative system available that uses the best of mail-order methods and combines it very cleverly with Network Marketing. Done the right way it works wonderfully. But like everything else done the wrong way it is a waste of time and money. Find out the facts and send for your 74 page report on the Network Business System program (NBS) on how easy it is to put a duplicative self generating system in place. AVOIDABLE MISTAKE #5: One of the biggest problems I see with many would-be MLM'ers is their laziness. All of us (and, yes, I must even include myself) are lazier than we ought to be. We're humans, right? Brought up on the notion that "living' is supposed to be easy." Laziness is our human birthright. Which is why most MLM'ers love to talk so much about working to make money, even though many never really apply the concept. Let's be honest: all people are just not created equal! Despite what the industry "gurus" would have you believe, not everyone is cut out to be in business for themselves. I don't care what they tell you. Most people who enter the home-based business field would rather watch television than make a few follow-up phone calls! Did you see your reflection in the mirror when you read the 5 big mistakes people make above? I'm sure you did. These mistakes are easy to avoid. When you become successful at avoiding them, you should see your success improve. TO YOUR SUCCESS! |
