Advertising The Business Opportunity

I've had quite few people lately who've
asked me about using advertising to build their
Organic Natural Enterprize business. I
guess like any business, we need to advertise if we want to attract not
only Customers but Reps into our business too. So advertising, after you
have told people you know about the products and opportunity, may become
a necessity for many Reps. Especially those Reps who have come into the
business from another network and they have basically burnt out their
"warm" market people by being too persistent in the past.
Now I can relate to "burn out" when applied
to the warm market. Sometimes Reps coming into a new business
opportunity, really don't want to go back over old ground and annoy
their friends, that's if they have any friends left after being too
persistent previously, so they must look for people from the "cold"
market. That's people they don't know.
The cold market is fraught with difficulties
and it can trap the unwary into spending far too much money. Now, one of
the biggest mistakes many budding network marketing entrepreneurs make
is to think they have to spend up big on advertising to attract the
"right" people into their team. I think this approach is a classic
mistake made by many new networkers who want to apply the bigger and
more expensive rule must be better to everything.
Another way of describing large scale
expensive advertising is "pie in the sky syndrome". It simply doesn't
work in most cases and it isn't duplicable by your downline.
Crikey (now that's a good Australian
expression) - I heard of one Rep just the other day that had spent over
$3,000 on a series of ads in a prominent and well respected health
publication here in Australia.
You would never guess how many networkers
the Rep had signed up after the series of ads had run their course over
six months I bet. What would you expect for $3,000? I know I would be
very disappointed if I had spent that amount of money and had fewer than
say 50 new Reps in the team. But, hmmm, let's be a little bit generous
and say the series of ads had pulled 30 new Reps. Ummm! A bit costly per
Rep, but at $100 per Rep signed up then perhaps over the next 12 to
18 mths if they were all on BP and placing regular orders and recruiting
other networkers and you had some duplication occurring, then the money
would be recouped. Right?
Guess what? The $3,000 the Rep spent, didn't
even pull ONE networker into their team. OUCH!! But there was some
consolation, they managed to pick up three Health Professionals who went
on to order some product. I'm almost wincing with pain as write this
because it's a true story!!! Now we all know that Health Professionals
who have joined the business for FREE, that is they haven't paid a fee
to join, have no intention of building a network marketing business.
They simply want to order products in bulk and get the biggest possible
discount so they in turn can sell to their own clients at the best
retail profit. Networking is the last thing on their minds.
Consequently, Reps who've signed up lots of Health Professionals and
Retailers in the past have stifled the growth of their own network and
their earning power.
The only thing I'm grateful about is that
the OG Rep isn't part of the HallGold International Group. Quite
frankly I would be devastated if anyone in our team was wasting money on
advertising of this nature in expensive magazines like this.
I guess the mistake was compounded by the
fact the company name and trademarks were plastered over the ad and
worse, the replicated
Organic Natural Enterprize website URL was used so anyone could go
direct to the company or simply look for a Rep using the google search
engine
If you want to advertise your business, here
are some guidelines, so you don't blow your hard earned money away.
Important: Register your
own domain name and point it at your own replicated
www.mienterprize.com/?username website
which the company supplies for you to advertise the business
opportunity. The reason you need your own domain is because you want to look
professional. Right? You don't want to look like some amateur who
doesn't know what they are doing. Owning your own domain name is vital
to your image and lets you look a million dollars, yet it only costs
pennies per day.

Next - dip your toe in the
water BEFORE jumping in with your advertising! See if the water
is going to be suitable to leap into - before you take the leap. You
might be in for a shock if you jump and the water is over your head and
so dammed cold you never come back to the surface. Well, take it from
me, many networkers never surface again when they spend up big on
advertising that doesn't work. They're in over their heads and drown,
never to return to the networking fold.
Here's what I suggest when it comes to
placing effective ads at minimal cost to you.
Think small but regular. What I mean by this
is think carefully about just how much you can afford to spend each
month on promoting your business until you have at least three key
people you can work with. It doesn't matter how little you have as long
as you have something you can put into promoting your business regularly
in your local area.
Now why advertise locally when obviously the
regional and national magazines are going to reach the big hitters you
want in your business. Once again this thinking is "pie in the sky"!
Who's to say experienced and highly skilled networkers don't live in
your own street or suburb? There are literally millions of network
marketers living all over the world. For all you know you might have
several people right in your own street who have the training and the
determination to make a success of a network business and they are just
waiting to find the right opportunity. YOUR opportunity!

networker who isn't blinded by hype and lies in their current network,
would see this opportunity for what it is worth immediately. Just like I

I couldn't wait to ditch my existing network
business seeing the company I was with was big on hype and lies but
little else. I couldn't wait to get started with

- there are literally tens of thousands of networkers right now, just
like I was then, who are currently disgruntled with their present
company and have their eyes wide open for something better. You know...
this business is a network marketers dream business. No one else, and I
mean NO ONE ELSE has Certified Organic products to USDA FOOD GRADE
standards in the world!
We have a marketing edge seldom seen in this
industry. We need to be shouting out from the rooftops, just how good it
is, so other experienced networkers can take a look too. At the same
time you will pick up people who want to join the organic industry
simply because they believe in organics is the only really sustainable
future we have and they see the potential to make money as they spread
the word. It's not just experienced networkers you will find. You'll
find cause driven people who will go on to be amongst the top earners in
this company.
So let's get some effective advertising in
place pronto, but don't forget to dip your toe in the water first before
spending up big.

advertise for Reps to join your business on a local basis.
Print up cards and flyers and leave them
around the place when you go shopping. Even if your budget doesn't
extend to printing up business opportunity cards, print flyers and place
them on notice boards. Have you noticed, people read notice boards, so

Classified advertising works - period!
It's simple, cheap to do and more
importantly, it's DUPLICABLE by your downline. You don't want to be
doing everything yourself now do you? The idea is to duplicate yourself
and find others who want to do what you are doing. That is, building a
duplicable network business that will allow them to break free of
financial and time shackles. Well that's what you want isn't it? So you
need to find just a few people who want that too and teach them the
methods you have used to find them in the first place. What better place
to look for these people than in your own back yard so to speak.
When you find people who are local to you,
you can meet with them. You can build rapport and work closely with them
- if you get along well. You can even get local meetings established if
you're that way inclined. People love feeling part of a team yet
they retain their own independent business identity, but learn from the
interaction that occurs at meetings.
Meetings aren't everyone's cup of tea.
However, many people just love the social aspect of it and will come
along to meet other like minded individuals there. They might not set
the world on fire with their networking activity, but you never know who
they know, who will set the world on fire and become a key person in
your team!

Being three liners they are cheap to place so Reps are able to sustain them. The biggest problem when Reps advertise is doing things that are not duplicable. These ads are duplicable and will pull enquiries at a very small cost per lead from local papers. The key is to keep them running every week in your local paper so other networkers and business opportunity people know exactly where to look when something strikes a chord with them. Larger regional papers and national papers will be more expensive and probably require an accountants verification before the ad is placed. However they can pull lots of enquiries and from more experienced networkers perhaps. Think seriously about the cost effectiveness and the duplicability of more expensive advertising BEFORE you spend large amounts of money.
These ads are designed to be run every week
in your local paper. They are cheap little three liners but they work.
They effectively pull people into your business. Once you have people in
your local area who want to do the same as you, you no longer need to
run the ads yourself. Let your key people run the ads until they pick up
their key people too. This way it is duplicable and ongoing for
everyone, rather than an expensive campaign that peters out. Before you
know it, using this simple principle, you will spread your business all
over the country because others in your team will find it easy to do
too.
