 Fast Start 2

Developing Your Global Business

Part Two - Online Marketing –

BUSINESS BUILDERS

I take it you have read through all the Fast Start Pt1 report?

If you haven't then please return to the Fast Start Pt1 report and read it thoroughly before reading this, the second report in the Fast Start series. This report is primarily designed for those of you who are serious about developing an ever increasing residual income from the Organic Natural Enterprise business and will be a waste of time reading if you are approaching the business opportunity in anything less than a business like manner.

The #2 report deals specifically with Internet Marketing and how as a networker you can capitalize on this powerful medium to build your business. Before you read further, most of what I have written here will not be applicable to you, unless you are already a Senior Associate with the company.

This means you have ordered a Fast Start Order of 300PV or more as explained in Pt1 of this series or you have developed a downline volume with a minimum of 500GV with two active personally sponsored distributors with BP (Business Protection) activated in the members area of the replicating website.

Where Do I Start

First of all let's run through some of the things you should already have done by now.

1. You have registered with ONE Group (OG) and signed up for the Fast Start order of + 300PV or the Super Fast Start order of + 600PV, and you have already achieved downline volume of 500GV with at least two legs established in your business.

2. You have been in touch with your sponsor and indicated to them your willingness to build the business.

3. You are already using the products and telling people you know about them.

4. If you aren't familiar with Network Marketing - you have already ordered the recommended books or the books your sponsor has suggested and are about to learn as much as you can about the skills needed to build a successful Network business.

5. You have found out where the nearest public meetings are to you (if any) and have made arrangements to attend - if this is practical for you. (If there are no meetings available in your area seriously consider starting your own.)

Unless you have already done the previous things or are currently in the process of doing them, reading this report will be waste of your time.

Let's move on.

Your Own Domain

To build your OG business successfully using the Internet is virtually impossible unless you have your OWN domain name. Now I'm not saying it can't be done. However, it will take a lot of extra work to do it if you don't establish your own domain right from the start.

Let's explode a few myths about Internet Marketing

Myth #1

I have this all singing all dancing replicated website - I will promote my own www.username.mionegroup.com URL and the people will flock in.

WRONG!

It doesn't happen like this! The reasons for this aren't that obvious at first for new Internet Marketers. They think well, we have the domain already supplied by Organic Natural Enterprise! I'll advertise my replicating website all over the internet on discussion boards and forums and free classifieds etc and lots of people will come to my site and want to buy the products or sign up for the opportunity.

This is called "Pie in the Sky Syndrome"

The problem is as soon as you advertise your replicated site www.username.mionegroup.com  anywhere on the net the main beneficiary from it, in fact perhaps the only beneficiary, is Organic Natural Enterprise and perhaps some of the high ranking distributor sites that have locked on to use keywords associated with the company. The search engines take every link that points back to Organic Natural Enterprise as a vote in favour of the company site and lift the rankings in the searches accordingly for Organic Natural Enterprise, Miessence or ONE Group Organics etc. Your replicated site will in all likelihood not even get a look in on the searches. In fact it may be automatically deleted from the search algorithms altogether if it appears to the Google Spider your replicated URL is being used to spam the search engines with.

Think about the reasons for this for a moment. If every distributor in every network was able to get their replicated sites listed in the search engines then the engines would be useless. They would be totally clogged up with the same sites repeated over and over. The people who write the algorithms know how important it is to keep replicated sites out of the searches and have special ways to detect them and eliminate them. Now that doesn't mean someone may click through on your website URL. They probably will. However, it is highly unlikely they will do anything about it. They'll look at the products but for whatever reason will most likely click off the site never to return to your particular replicated site again.

Myth #2

I'm getting this flash website built by an IT expert. People will love it! I just know lots of people will see it.

WRONG! and WRONG AGAIN!

There is a very common misconception on the Internet that you need all these flash graphics and moving images to impress the visitor. These gizmos slow the loading of site down dramatically - but that doesn't matter it's worth waiting to see how good this site really is. Trouble is - people don't wait. Unless your site has readable material on it within a few seconds you start losing them. How often do you wait to see some stupid graphic loading that has nothing to do with the information you are trying to find. If there is nothing to read within 15 seconds then most are straight back to the search engine to find a site that delivers what they want. And that is the information they are seeking. Not some all singing and dancing graphic rich site that takes several minutes to work out where the links are to the pages that are being sought.

So forget about some "you beaut" professional creation. They are for the people who get their thrills from creating the graphic rich sites in the first place. They play no part in a focused lead generating site for customers or lead generating alike.

Myth #3

I will set up an e-commerce site with all the products on it and sell to the visitors I get and make a fortune.

WRONG!

When was the last time you signed up for something or bought something on your very first visit to a website? Once twice or never? Exactly! Mostly, we simply don't have the time to sit down and really go into the site to understand what it is all about and we click off it to return later.

The problem is when later comes around for the surfer they have lost that URL but they remember the product names or that they were certified organic skin care products. So what do they do - they go straight to the search engine and find the products again by keying Miessence into the search engine. Trouble is it is highly unlikely it is the same site they were looking at in the first place and they simply buy the products from someone else who has managed to get to the top of the searches for "miessence". Leave the e-commerce part of it to the experts who know what they are doing and are happy to spend tens of thousands of dollars setting up shopping carts and coding that allows for freight and all the different currencies etc. ONE Group already has the shopping cart facility in place for us.

Myth#4

All I have to do is to advertise my replicated website URL everywhere I can and I will get lots of sign ups for customers and the Business Opportunity.

WRONG!

It won’t happen. Not to any great extent anyway. That long convoluted URL the surfer followed led them to a site that was slow to load and was difficult to work out exactly where to find things. Once again they didn't have time to lift off the information they wanted to make an informed decision on prices and delivery charges etc. So they click off intending to go back again. But in the meantime they forget the URL that they used to find your replicated ONE Group site. No problems, they remember the products were called  MiEssence so they simply key that or "certified organic skin care" into Google and they have a site with MiEssence and Organic Natural Enterprise mentioned on it in no time. Problem is it isn't your site! The customer or distributor has been lost to the original advertiser forever. So you can forget about using the mionegroup replicated URL to advertise with too. It doesn't work

So- Don't waste your time promoting the www.yourusername.mionegroup.com URL

All you are doing if you advertise the www.yourusername.mionegroup.com URL (URL stands for Universal Resource Locator by the way), is sending votes their way to OG which lifts OG's rankings in the search engines where ORPHAN applicants can sign on direct to the company. These "orphans" - people who have found the OGs site and signed up without a sponsor could well have been driven to it by your advertising somewhere on a discussion board or a classified ad somewhere. Once they sign up as an orphan you can kiss them goodbye as they will end up in someone else's downline! The company has no idea where they have come from and you have no idea who has looked at your ad.

Do this simple test if you like. Key in "organic business opportunity" or "one group organic" or "buy miessence products" or "certified organic natural skin care" into the Google search engine and see what comes up in the top ten. It certainly will not be YOUR replicated site I can assure you. It might even be one of my sites or another high ranking site near or at the top and I would not have a clue where people have come from if they fill in the forms on my site. If the respondent signs up with one of the other OG distributors then we all lose.

Another valid reason for not using your replicated website URL is the probability that someone will report you for spamming sooner or later to the company. The company is bound by internationally recognized rules and must act on spam complaints and warn you about further use of the replicated website URL where it may attract complaints. Three consecutive complaints may see your replicated OG website taken down and you have lost your business. So DON'T spam people by sending them your replicated URL or posting it on boards where no advertising is allowed.

The first important rules for Internet Marketing are:

1. DON'T advertise on the Internet using the replicating URL issued by OG

2. DON'T use the company name, nor use the company trademarks in any advertising you carry out. If you do, people will use those keywords to find someone else and you will lose your prospect and or customer

3. DON'T use the replicated OG URL in any situation where a spam complaint may be lodged against you.

4. Don't spend any money on setting up your own flash website that no-one will look at.

If you must advertise on the Internet without your own domain name then use an email address for the respondent to get back to you with. This is the only safe way you can advertise without losing prospects. Now if you do this - expect to be spammed! Spamming is when someone sends you an email you don't want. There are thousands of idiots on the Internet that do these things regularly and they are causing untold problems with many business and private people alike whose email accounts are simply jammed with trash.

Spam spider software regularly trawls the Internet for email addresses to compile databases consisting of millions of email addresses which are then sold to the folk who think they are buying legitimate email addresses to send their opportunity or sales pitch to.

So what do a lot of people do to combat spammers? - They use a free Hotmail account or Yahoo account so when they become clogged with spam they close them down. This is a mistake. Sure you can close a free account when it gets clogged with spam but the downside is that many people do not take a free email account as being a legitimate and genuine business address. So it will reduce the impact of your advertisement markedly.  Also the last thing you want is a free email account listed on any business stationery you print. It will look unprofessional on your business cards!

DON'T use a free email account such as a Hotmail or Yahoo address if you are serious about building your ONE Group business. It may cost you dearly in the long run if you do.

(I cover how to combat spam further on in the report. In the meantime if you want an effective anti spam system download a free 30 day trial of Mail Washer. My spam emails are only fraction of what they were yet every important email still gets through. You can download Mail Washer here. -

So what can I DO to build my business professionally?

Let's look at ALL the things you can do now to build your home business professionally

I will discuss this under the following headings

1. YOUR OWN DOMAIN NAME

2. YOUR OWN WEBSITE

3. FORWARDING ADDRESSES for Domains

3. PROMOTING YOUR WEBSITE

4. SIGNING THE PROSPECTS UP

1. YOUR OWN DOMAIN NAME

One of the most important things you can do with your fledgling OG business to make it a success is to purchase your own domain name. BEFORE you rush out and buy a domain, read all of this report first so you are fully aware of the implications and the benefits of following the recognized system we have in place.

"A rose by any other name would smell as sweet..."
From Romeo & Juliet, William Shakespeare

This may be true of roses, but in business, a name can make or break you! Today we're going to share with you a little secret that will make a BIG difference to the overall success of your OG business.

My Dad, a perpetually broke New Zealand farmer in the 1950s and 60s always used to say to me "You only have one chance to make a good first impression and that first impression is always a lasting one!"

I can remember Dad was always a stickler for making sure that he was clean and dressed well and shoes polished before he left the farm to see people on business or to go to town to do the weekly shopping. Mum too! The impression of success was always important to both my Mum and Dad. I'll never forget how he used to emphasise the importance of wearing clean and well polished shoes. "People always look at your shoes" was an expression I often heard. "Even if they are old... polish them, not just in the front, but at the back and on the heel too!"

He reckoned the heels of your shoes were the last thing your potential employer or your bank manager saw and would leave the wrong image on their mind as you left their office if they looked anything less than shiny and clean. An image of someone who was well presented and took pride and care in the way they looked was important to Dad.

An image of success!

I remember looking closely at my teacher’s shoes at school and feeling sorry for them because some of them must have been very much underpaid. The scuffed shoes and worn heels told me a lot!

To make a good lasting impression in life you must put your best foot forward and wear good shoes!

No matter how financially challenged you are, NEVER look financially challenged!

Now, being financially challenged doesn't mean you are less of a person, it's just a temporary situation that is about to change soon. Right? But the people you want to attract, the very people you want to do business with... those people want to KNOW that you are already successful or at the very least on your way to success!

Believe me when I tell you, I've been so broke I ran out of money paying one credit card off against another and lost my credit card facilities completely. It's not nice being bankrupt and being at the very rock bottom starting again I can assure you. It was downright scary! But I can also tell you, I never ACTED broke and I have recovered from this very difficult financial period since joining OG.

You must look successful if you want to attract success!

If you act the part, you'll believe it yourself, and only when you believe it, will you become it! Would you like to know how to look like you own a multi-million dollar company?

First let me ask you, how do YOU look on the Internet?

It never ceases to amaze me how people are always using the Internet trying to flog "get rich quick" schemes, yet their websites and emails scream at me this guy does not know what he is about and is a total failure and broke!

They may as well say shout straight up "I am not successful at this but if you take my advice I can teach you to be just as successful as me!" "I can teach you how to be broke TOO!"

Websites that look as though they have been thrown together by a kid with spelling mistakes and no focus and worse a domain name something like this www.makemillionsontheweb.co.uk/member4106875?/easywaytowealth.html which indicates they are trying to flog some sort of shady affiliate program where the only people who make money are the greedy operators sucking these poor individuals into their own "get rich" scheme!

Not quite the impression of professionalism you would want to present in your Certified Organic business is it?

Well I can assure you it is not what we do in our OG business!

Our shoes are always clean and polished! Right?

Are you ready for the secret? It's so simple it'll make you laugh!

YOU must have your own domain name and website!

"But err, isn't that, err, expensive? (Ssshh! trying not to sound broke!)"

It used to be very expensive. Not so any more! Now you can own your own domain name for as little as few pounds/dollars per year and look a million dollars!

Take a quick look at these websites www.jokingorganics.com     www.hallgold.com/mnt.htm

Like them? You too can use exactly the same system to send your business leads direct to the OG website or to the powerful presentation which OG supplies for the business opportunity at www.mienterprize.com , and we (your sponsor and upline team leaders) are standing by to teach you how. All I've done is to set up a redirection URL, so when a prospect clicks on the domain I give them it transports them straight through to the http://www.nontoxic.mienterprize.com  website and locks them into my username when they fill in the form or in the case of www.jokingorganics.com directly into the website supplied by OG to the distributors.

Amazing! You can now look like a real professional on the Internet for just pennies/cents per week

What looks the best? Compare the domain name www.JoKingOrganics.com with www.jokingorganics.mionegroup.com What about www.JoKingOrganics.com   compared to say the www.jokingorganics.mienterprize.com  replicated site.

Which do you reckon gives the impression of success just by looking at the name? You don't need to be one of nature's mental giants to work out that the first domain www.jokingorganics.com is by far the better way to present your business! The point is the shorter the domain and the easier it is to remember, the better it is for you in all ways. Not only that, when you register a domain and point it to your replicated website, it makes your website look as though it belongs to you. So the visitor, instead of seeing your replicated website complete with username URL in the browser, you will see your own domain name. Just click on the www.jokingorganics.com site to see what I mean

Would you rather look like the owner of your business or just some poor broke affiliate trying to flog the same thing that 100 million other people are doing all over the Internet?

All you have to do is:

Think of a professional but catchy name

1. Check if the name is available with maybe a country specific ending like .co.uk which is what I recommend if you want to restrict your activities into just one country. Or .com .net or .org if you want to be international. Because OG is a seamless sponsoring business - you can sponsor people from your home country into any virtually other country you like - the US endings are actually the best as the search engines will list them even in country specific searches. It doesn't make much sense to have a .co.uk domain if you are based in Australia and trying to build your business in Australia. (By the way if you want to concentrate on building your business in Australia it would wise to choose a .com.au domain. However, you do need to register for an Australian Business Name ABN - Just key "apply Australian Business Name" into the google search engine and click on the #1 site that comes up. Follow the instructions to register an ABN on the Australian Business Register website.)

2. DO NOT REGISTER your domain name yet! Keep reading. There is still important information to read through before your domain name is registered

Want to be professional and successful?

Start thinking about a good name now!

You only have one chance to make a good impression with your appearance and never has this been more apparent than on the Internet. For pennies/cents per week, you can look like a million pounds/dollars!

VERY IMPORTANT

Choose your name very carefully!
Remember, this is your chance to make a good impression! Many of the domain names have been taken. However by hyphenating the name, often you can find a really good name. Just use your imagination and be a little bit creative. You may be able to use your own domain like Jo King has in the example above.

Here are a few suggestions for a domain names. Why not try a combination of your first name and last name or combine two surnames together like I did with www.hallgold.com  I advise you to go for a domain name specific for your country if you are concentrating solely on promotions within your own country. This then allows people to see immediately they are dealing with someone in business in their own country. Of course if you are intending to sponsor internationally as we can with the OG business then a .com or .net domain is probably by far the best option.

You can also consider domains that contain the word organic or organics. For instance there are many ways you could use organic or organics in a domain name. What if you combine your initials before organic? Like this www.dworganic.com or www.ccorganics.com. These names are good as they say what it is about and they are easily remembered when you tell someone your website address.

Also it makes sense to use your domain name as your email address. This really does put the finishing touches to the professional image you are creating. What looks best to you?

geoff.goldie617@freeserve.co.uk

geoff@geoffgoldie.net  or jo@jokingorganics.com or support@jokingorganics.com

I guess it goes without saying the last ones look much more professional!

Not much of a choice is it. Your own domain name once again sets you apart from the crowd and lets people see you are serious about doing the job as a professional would. You can now start to get ready to build your own Internet Based Organic Business! (Once you have your domain registered your sponsor or an upline person will explain how to set up your email addresses all using your own domain name and how to point the domain name to your replicated website)

2. YOUR OWN WEBSITE

Didn't I say we were standing by to teach you the how?... Well here it is!

The How

1. Key in domain registrations in the search engine and find a site you can check the availability of your desired name

2. Key in the name you have chosen and see if it is available

3. Try for a .com or .net .info .biz ending for internationally recognized domains

4. If your chosen name is already taken then try hyphenating the name like this hallgold to hall-gold or try for something with organic in the ending. For instance what about your initials and organic.com e.g. dworganics.com or johnsorganic.net or bjsorganic.com Get the idea?

5. Once you have decided on a domain name DON'T REGISTER IT if you are intending to take up a website hosting package so you can have your own website. If you simply want to redirect the URL to your own replicated www.mienterprize.com/?username site then go ahead and register the domain. I can recommend two excellent sites for registering domains. In the UK http://www.compila.com and www.godaddy.com for the USA and the rest of the world. For Australia you will need to register an ABN first before being eligible for a .com.au domain.

6.  If you are intending to establish your own website make sure you contact your sponsor and let them know you have settled on a domain name. (It is cheaper and much easier for to register your domain name along with the website hosting order rather than you do it separately)

So to recap

You must present your business in the best possible light!

It is essential to own your own domain

"Tips on Picking Your Domain Name"

It should be easy to pronounce and hear.

It should be easy to spell and write down.

Avoid being trendy; instead think long term.

It should be easy to remember.

Careful it doesn't mean something inappropriate in another language.

It should be easy to understand when you look at it.

It should be short if being used in media advertising.

I recommend you go for short, easily remembered and pronounced. The long hyphenated domain names like www.work-at-home-uk.co.uk site are hopeless for media advertising as people will not remember how they are written. This is a technique used to help somewhat in search engine rankings as search engines used to only recognise hyphenated words but normally not words all run together. e.g. workathomeuk! It's not important these days as most search engines recognise individual words without the hyphenation now.

I use www.hallgold.com and www.60-k.co.uk for media advertising and on business cards and the www.work-at-home-uk.co.uk

Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Once I buy my domain name, do I own it forever?

Answer: No. You are basically "renting" the domain. Most registrars have a minimum two year registration period. Once the initial period is over, you will pay a "maintenance fee" to keep the domain. If you fail to pay it, you relinquish the domain, and it becomes available for others to buy. So make sure you keep track of your expiration date. The domain company should send you a reminder too.

Question: Once I register a domain, is my personal information available to the public? If so, should I use my personal address and phone number?

Answer: Yes, the public has access to that information, so you may want to use your business address or PO Box. Although most registrars do not verify your contact information, (other than your email address), it is a good idea to use a valid address for your contact information so they can notify you before your domain expires. (If we register the domain on for you I can notify you when it is due for renewal.)

Question: How long can a domain name be?

Answer: It was limited to 22 characters, but the rules have changed to allow domains with up to 63 characters. However, keep in mind that with domain names less is usually FAR better for media advertising purposes!

Now you can tell people your site name and they'll remember it! Your friends will be impressed with you as will people you present your business too! You'll attract the business minded people because you look like you are successful and you know what you are doing! Plus what do you think fits comfortably on a business card... www.hallgold.com or some convoluted affiliate name with slashes and question marks?

3. FORWARDING ADDRESSES for Domains.

Now you have got this far and you may have decided your budget doesn't quite stretch to covering the cost of buying the domain and setting up a website which you need to pay a monthly hosting fee for. I can understand that. These are all added expenses for you and a network business is not meant to cost you an arm and a leg to establish and run. All is not lost!

Bear in mind, compared to a conventional business or a self employed opportunity such as being a tradesman, the cost of establishing this business is miniscule. But let's be realistic. I'm not in business to persuade or convince anyone of anything. When I first got started with Organic Natural Enterprize I didn't even have a credit card I could pay for things online - so I know what it is like to be broke and worried where the next lot of money was coming from.

So if you are hard pressed financially then we have a way you can still look a million dollars on the Internet and it truly does cost just pennies.

What you do is register your own domain with www.compila.com in the UK or www.godaddy.com in the US. They both have excellent and the cheapest services around. Remember what I said about a suitable domain earlier? Well follow the suggestions above for your name and register your domain for two years with one of these services.

Let's say your register www.djorganic.com . It will cost you just GBP19.00 to register this dotcom domain for two years with Compila. If you want a .co.uk domain it is even less. Just GBP6.48 for two years! What did I say about pennies per day? Well for a .co.uk domain it is pennies per month. In fact 27 pence per month! Just about anyone can afford 27 pence per month!

Yeah sure I hear you saying I have a domain name but don't have any idea of what to do now.

Okay hold on - there is method in my madness. Once you have a domain name registered you can set up a redirection order so your domain links directly to your www.username.mionegroup.com site or to your www.mienterprize.com/?yoursite. For literally pennies per month, you can look professional with your own domain. When someone keys in your domain name it will be automatically redirected instantly to your Organic Natural Enterprize replicated website.

You may even be able to stretch the budget and afford TWO domain names. One for the mionegroup.com URL and the other for mienterprize.com

You www.username.mionegroup.com site now looks like it is yours!

In other words you can look like a MILLION DOLLARS very simply!

How to register your domain with Compila

  1. Key in www.compila.com
  2. At the top left, do a domain search. .com .net or .org or any of the new domain endings for International use.
  3. Once you have decided on your name add it to the shopping cart.
  4. Pay by Credit Card through the secure server
  5. You will have an email sent to you confirming the purchase.

How to redirect your domain name to your Organic Natural Enterprize replicated URL

  1. Click on this link http://www.compila.com/personal_pages/domains/fowarding.htm
  2. For first time users you must register by choosing your own username and password
  3. Once registered use the details to log in and follow the online procedure
  4. Enter the URL www.yourusername.mionegroup.com as the site you want your own domain redirected to.

From within this password protected area of the website you can also set up your email address so it is redirected to your existing ISP email address. If you still insist on using a free email address at yahoo or hotmail you can even disguise this by using your own domain name for your emails now. NOT RECOMMENDED!

So instead of your email being amanda.blinks@freeserve.co.uk or joebloggs5904@hotmail.com or whatever, it will be yourname@dkorganics.com or whatever name you choose in front of dkorganics.com - if this was the domain you had chosen. You can even set up a "catchall" service which means anything in front of your domain @dkorganics.com will get through to you.

NOTE: PLEASE don't use free email addresses unless there is some specific reason why you have to. They are slow to use and are controlled by the ISPs that supply them. It means you will often not receive vital information you want to receive due to the mail box being overloaded or the ISP filtering out messages you want. It is very unprofessional to run a business using a free email address. Many people are so sick of spam emanating from free email accounts that they simply block all hotmail and yahoo emails from getting through with their spam filters. Use them at your peril!

Armed with this knowledge you can now create a professional image that most people new to Internet Marketing have no idea of how to do it.

So what are you waiting for? I have just described to you the most cost effective way you can look totally professional on the Internet for just pennies per month.

Have a look at www.compila.com or www.godaddy.com and check it out for yourself.

Consider this: Think how much more important your email address will look when you contact someone who is running a health website or perhaps another distributor website for a network company. Say you haven't bothered to set up your own domain and you send them an email from your free email address - yes you didn't see the value of altering from the cumbersome hotmail or yahoo account because you know how it works or whatever - anyway you send an email to them using one of the template emails I have loaded on the training site and you get no response from the people you approach. You know why? They have filters set up to delete the free email addresses as the emails come in or they delete the emails as soon as they see the free email address domain as they regard it as a spam email.

The vast bulk of spammers use free email accounts as the sender. This results in most people in business simply not accepting them. I am almost at the point with my business with the spammers of setting a blacklist ban for both Hotmail and the Yahoo domains because they simply will not take appropriate action to stop the spammers. I know many business people are sick of these free email accounts being incessantly used to spam them and automatically delete virtually every email with one of those free email domains as the sender.

It's your choice and your decision.

Approach your business professionally or approach it as an amateur would. For a few pennies per month it may make the difference between whether you are very successful or not!

4. PROMOTING YOUR WEBSITE

I finished the Fast Start Report #1 with these words. I think it is worthwhile repeating them.

Success comes through persistence

It is what you do today and every day that counts!

This is just so true of Networking and life in general. The time you will spend promoting your website today and tomorrow and over the coming months will pay off handsomely in the future in the form of residual income. It is matter of keeping on until you find what works for you. The more you can post your website URL on the Internet every which way you can, the more likely people are going to see it and visit your site.

Advertising your site - online for free.

It's a bit like advertising in the media. Constant repetition is what works. You never see a Real Estate agent just put one ad in the paper do you? What about a car sales yard? They spend so much time and effort and of course money making sure the public is well aware of where they are and who they are. It works! Costs them a fortune but it works. On the other end of the scale is a home handyman that runs a simple classified ad for instance in the local paper. The ad is there every week and people get used to seeing it. When they want his number then they know they can get it out of the paper. Repetitive advertising for the handyman is what has worked for him.

Well you can do the same with your website. Think up some good ads for it and start searching for links and classified advertising sites and discussion boards and groups. You name it they are out there in cyber space. There are literally millions upon millions of websites that will allow advertising to be placed on them or on discussion boards etc. The more you post a link to your site and classified ads etc the greater the exposure becomes.

I have already covered most of the free things you can do in my reports on the training site. I'm sure with a bit of imagination you can find untold ways to promote your website. To read these reports return to the training home page www.hallgold.com/training_one_group.htm

Paying to advertise your website

When it comes to paying for your advertising online this is where it starts getting sticky. How do you know what works and what doesn't work? It’s a minefield out there and I can't even begin to suggest anything much to you except the proven methods I know work for me and a few others. However, if you all do the same thing then there is every chance it won’t work as well for you. I strongly suggest you investigate any advertising you are going to do very thoroughly before committing yourself to any large outlay of money.

Watch out for questionable services

There is any number of people with websites set up on the Internet who will promise you the world if you spend some money with them. The hype and promises are just that and no more. One of the scams you have to watch out for is the listing of your website on 10,000 + search engines and directories every month all for a one off fee of $49.50 or whatever they are charging.

Okay they may have software that actually does this for you automatically but it may also ruin your chance of ever getting listed on the really important search engines like Google and Yahoo. Google and Yahoo carry the bulk of the search engine traffic, currently about 80%, whilst all the rest carry the remainder. The service is designed to part unwary people with their money more than what it is designed to get you listed on the engines and directories. It could even be highly counter productive, if you do use an automated listing service, if Yahoo and Google blacklist your domain due to constant automated spamming of your website URL.

For most people getting ranked in the search engines is an exercise in futility. It's best to use other methods.

Pay Per Click Advertising

Google Adwords and Overture have a pay per click system which does work very well and if you are on a limited budget then you can get good results relatively cheaply.

I’m not going to run through in this report, what you need to do to use Google Adwords effectively. There are countless key word terms and words that surfers use on the net, which means using pay per click search engine advertising has absolutely huge potential in many ways.

What I do suggest however, is to read all you can about google adwords first before starting any campaign. I can recommend an e-book to you, written by Perry Marshall, who is a very successful Internet Marketer in his own right.

Just key in “Perry Marshall google adwords” into the search engine and you will find his site. You can even subscribe for a series of free reports which will give you much greater insight into adwords.
