Discussion Boards Update

I have just had some feedback about the use of discussion boards.

Discussion Boards and Message Boards are a great place to start generating interest in your business. However you have to be careful - otherwise if you break the rules then you will end up with a complaint being made against you to the company.

These are the basic things you must do to avoid breaking the rules on most boards

• Read the rules before proceeding
• Don't use your onegrp.com replicating website URL unless the board specifically says it is OK to place an URL with your message.
• The message you want to place must be your own words. If you all copy what I have written - most moderators will soon realise their boards are being spammed
• Ask someone with an entirely different email address and preferably with a different computer (all computers are logged when used on the Internet) to post your first message on the board for you.
• If they need to register as a new member then make sure you are already registered first preferably several days in advance
• Don't register as a new user the same day as the day the first message is posted. This is suspicious activity to the moderator.
• When the message is posted watch it for a day or two or even a week to see who responds before you post your own message
• Keep a record of what message boards you are using and work through them to see which ones give the best results.
• Invite people to respond directly to you rather than post your URL. This is far safer and much more effective than sending someone direct to a website.
• A few spelling mistakes in the message is OK. It makes it look like it is something you have just typed and not a rehearsed message copied and pasted every time.
• Every board you visit and join - monitor it for a while and follow the messages. You may find that someone else posts a message or has already posted a message in the past,  you can respond to them and invite them to contact you for help on locating safe products. Other people will read the your reply and most likely will contact you to find out more about the 100% chemical free products you mention - this will save you asking someone else to work with you on the message boards.
• Surf the message boards using google to find them looking for suitable messages you can respond too!

Worked sensibly Discussion boards will give wonderful results for you. If you blatantly break the rules then the moderators will be continually looking out for ONE Group Associates and be constantly reporting them to the company. Eventually the company will be forced to take action against repeat offenders and remove their website and terminate their business.

Tip: You can look for specific messages on the boards using google. For instance many people are looking for 'safe toiletries'. Try this in google - key in "discussion board" (in inverted commas) and key in 'safe toiletries' after the first keywords without inverted "commas". You will then have a list of every discussion board where people are discussing issues like 'safe toiletries'.

But please be sensible with this. Use your own imagination about what people are looking for on the discussion boards. Try all sorts of keywords after the "discussion board" key phrase. What about - 'non-toxic skin care' - 'toxic chemicals' - 'organic products' - 'safe cosmetics' - 'sodium fluoride' - sls free'- 'organic skin care' - 'parabens' - 'breast cancer' - 'cancer causing chemicals' - chemical free cosmetics' - 'DEA' - 'aluminium free deodorant' - 'formaldehyde'.

The list is endless! There are any number of ways you can find topical boards that you may be able to place a message on without even needing to collaborate with someone to be able to post a suitable message. This way you aren't upsetting the moderators in anyway - as long as you stick to their rules as regards placing an URL on the board

Take care now - and remember DON'T USE the ONE Group URL if there is any risk of upsetting the moderators and you being reported for spam!.
